MY VERY FIRST BLOG: My Voice

HOLY CRAP! This is my blog. It's real. And it's here.

I sometimes think about life back in high school. I think about how I used to write in a journal that was online called "Xanga" for fun. Then I went to college and had to start writing for class. I had forgotten how good it feels to write because you want to, and not because you have to. It's crazy to me that Zillennials and Millennials alike are sitting at home, or at Starbucks or wherever we can access the internet, writing because we feel that our voices matter. Well, I'm going to join the world of freelancers and independent contractors and add a blog to my life.

I have so much to a say, and I'm a little too weird for the camera, go figure! I love the stage, I love to perform. I'm funny as hell and I am very well-spoke <insert: black girl eyeroll>. Yet, being live on camera, doesn't bring me joy. But writing? Oh, writing! The high-pitch clickety-clack of my manicured nails on the keyboard is therapeutic in a way. I feel whole telling my story with periods and commas. There are usually a crap-ton of commas. A lot of dashes too. And four-letter fricatives...? It feels fucking awesome to type them.

I want to welcome you to my many sites. I will be doing some vlogging here and there. Mostly my fashion and Opera bits will be posted on my FB(@justjacquieb), IG(@justjacquieb), SnapChat(@justjacquieb) and my website. Here, you will find all of my rants and some of my product reviews. My thoughts and my questions. I am working on having multiple Affiliate-ships across many different platforms, so please be ready for ads. But I promise my ads, won't be annoying. They might be. I will work very hard for them not to be.
